This painting is part of the collection “While You Were Dreaming” which is about the mysterious and ethereal nature of dreams. Sometimes I have dreams of places I have only been to in dreams. These places hold a feeling of the familiar in how they look and how they feel though I’ve never been there in waking life. There is an odd sense of deja vu when these locales emerge in a dream.
Have you had this experience of something that has appeared to. you only in the dream world? A place? A person? I think we have a whole dream life separate from our waking state.
